snow brigade

these two photos are from barcelona 2003, i think they represent and remind me of the feeling of warmth and relaxed atmosphere of the day i spent with the boys, especially the picture of tommy. they also are a reminder of whats to come, all of us that are going to prague have now booked our flights and it should be a really ace 10 days i reckon.

homage to ansel adams

homage: show of respect or honour towards someone or something.

these are all canada photos again, i hadn't even looked at these slides until yesterday, and scanned in i think they look amazing, surreal even.

for any photo geeks who are wondering why all the images look so different yet they were all shot on the same b&w slide, it was scala push/pull film, so on some rolls the ISO was pushed to 800 or 1600 speed whilst on others i pulled it right down to 100 or less.

now your taken

i think mogwai are a band that i could listen to for days and not get bored, and the past few days i have done, i cant see where i'm going with this, so all i'm trying to say really is, listen to mogwai!
these photos are from about a week ago when we went cruising round stockport, i havent ridden very much at all recently due to weather and revision, but that day was fun indeed.

cross road

i thought i may as well stick up some canada photos again:

i know i know, who hasnt seen the ole aeroplane wing shot. i think thats the isle of man or something down there.

they used to send logs to towns by pushing them downstream in the 1800's in BC, i think they all got pretty stuck here though. we actually managed to cross the river on these logs too.

i think this has been up before, but i actually prefer this colour version anyway.

rednecksville.

these were all set up in the big park in vancouver (i have forgotten its name, but it is big) and were absolutely massive.

the famous pack of cards being sold in america during the iraq war. they had the faces of the 52 most wanted men printed on the back of them.

more war related items.

i cant think of anything to write about this photo, it is making me look forward to the summer a lot more though.

the tie that binds

so i'm dredging the archives looking for riding photographs, and i stumble upon these photos from digger daves trails back in august 2003, i thought what they hey, rock'n'roll lets all get nostalgic! so anyway i ended up finding loads of stuff from 03 that i quite fancied publicising, so expect more 2003 related updates.

barnibus topless

barney tailwhips the final set. as if!

barney in front, clarky behind. it was that day that i returned from canada, and i had been awake for 48 hrs at this point but couldnt sleep, so just decided to go and take photos at the trails instead, although i was so exhausted i found it impossible to ride.

Dilemmachine

I seriously think this is the most boring wdphotos update in the history of wdphotos. i mean, flower photos, come on...

i suppose your asking at this point "then wd, why did you put up these photos anyway?" well the truth is, i hardly ever take photos of them and theyre pretty mad looking when you think about it anyway.

on a non-horticultural note, some nick guy i know created himself yet another website to display his stuff on, its pretty reet, have a wee peek: NICK.COM.

does anyone know what make of tree this is?

possible camera shake on this one, i cant remember.

this was by far the craziest flower of the lot, as if flowers are designed like that!

just some bluebells. on a scale of 1-10 how boring was this post, shout at me below:

aesthetic

i suppose i just put up these photos to remind myself that i used to shoot everything on film, and you can tell the difference it makes, anyhow, to give this post a theme these were all taken in 2003 when i went to canada, back in a time when i was less lazy. so thus i have decided to take this summer to shoot everything on film (which i suppose i do every year...). as it is now i am pretty short on money considering what i'm doing this summer.

lake louise, BC

telte yette, town, somewhere in BC

a traintrack that ran through our campsite near vancouver, there was electric fencing surrounding this campsite due to the amount of bears in the area.

badlands, somewhere in canada, i just remember it being called 'badlands' for some reason, it wasn't that bad though.

hate it or love it

once again, you shall all recieve a bunch of random photos. sorry about the lack of direction.

nick (mosher) rockin out at a doctrine academy gig.

alex spinning in a stockport car park.

cosmo cara getting all cosmopolitan coffee style in pizza express.

driving to burnley with tommy for seans big birthday bash extravaganza. i got him a magic lamp, how fetch?

delamere forest. as if it could have been anymore of a non-riding mission, we had more fun orienteering and getting our nature on rather than riding the trails there.

a rabbit at delamere that allowed us to stroke it, well, clarky did, i was scared it would attach itself to my arm or something. anyway, clarky gets all david attenborough (?) and films our roger.

day to day basis

so it was, today i rode rochdale and oldham with owain, laurence, barney and c-dog. it was a pretty reet day, apart from my back wheel troubles (no surprise there then). anyway a good day was had, heres some snaps.

the convoy: c-dog, barn-dog and o-dog.

loz has the pop, tiny bank to high rail (higher than clarkys handlebars, thats high)

cruisin barn-dog style.
