4thingsoctober
its the last day of october, so as we ready ourselves for the final dive into leafless trees, endless rain and the cold of november, lets have a look back on the autmnal month of october.
october 04 was the month that:
- nearly everyone couldnt ride for one reason or another (injury, uni, illness, weather)
- rain prevailed nearly all month
- we rode salford more, and gor more than we bargained for sometimes, such as scally kids rowing blow up dinghy's in the quays, finding a stranded rabbit, jumping steps.
- seeing either very good films (oldboy, layer cake) or really bad films (avp, punisher, camp).
- everyone getting "psyched" on dressing up
- generally no money.
"if someone dressed up as him, i'd, i'd touch him!"

its october the 25th
the skies rained down last night with plenty of thunder and lightning, and lots of big puddles left behind so that i could wear wellies today and splash about in them. one day i wish it would be dry so that we could all ride outside again, bones was the place of riding last night due to the conditions inflicted upon, but at least the mountain-bikers were goin' big.
it seems every half-term or holiday i have my body seems to collapse on me the 2nd or 3rd day in, and it did just that yesterday, i was so tired i was unable to move all day long, until i could muster the strength to go to bones aggressive skatepark. its half term now, and i have stressful english projects to handle involving data i don't have.

black cats voodoo dolls
its saturday and i'm posting on the website and that can mean one of two things. either i bothered to go and find an internet cafe in derby city centre on saturday night, or i stayed at home because maxine the checkout supervisor decided it was too late notice to let me go on a family outing. so basically i didn't go to the derby backyard jam.
instead i carved up a pumpkin.

mystery and misery
the past few days have been difficult for a lot of people, but this'll be a non-depressing post i promise.
so i have been riding a bit to take my mind off things recently, mostly manchester. saw the film "oldboy" on tuesday which was very good, had some lovely touches and i would recommend to any avid goers-de-la-cinemas. all the street riding has taken its toll on some:

the sky beneath my feet
i added a new link to the "art" links section, it isnt actually art but it was the most relevant section i could fathom, the link is to our friend Pete's band 'Dovestone', so take a look homiez. it seems that EVERYONE (nearly) is "down with injury" so to speak, and this has had an affect on the "manchester winter shutdown explosion" that was commencing until last week, leaving but a precious few unscathed...

well well well, at the weekend we went to see both layer cake and resident evil. layer cake was great fun and i think everyone enjoyed it, resident evil was a larf but product endorsement was a problem, as the film was made by sony they managed to cram as much new for 2005 season stuff into the film as possible, which strangely enough all exists in the future of this faroff "raccoon city", anyway, you cant blame them for product placement. i had photography yesterday and developed a photo of gaz brandishing a chainsaw. yikes.

michael had lots of fun on the spinal tap.
on friday we had "the footage marathon" and we all watched 7 hours of raw footage from the barcelona tour de force at both mine and TomB's residences, we also did the slideshow which was nice. happy 25th birthday TomB.
