i returned to sunny manchester last night from lodeve in france yesterday, the region was near montpellier in the south. the weather was lovely most of the time and the pool + house were excellent. i spent most of my time there reading the 3 books i took, these were Hermann Hesse "the journey to the east", George Orwell "homage to catalonia" and Voltaire "candide". these were all good reads and i recommend them. so today i have been unpacking and repacking for barcelona tommorow, i shall no doubt post various summer photos when i get home and am consumed by boring winter, but now there is sun and that means get off computer.

mike looks away in disapproval over laurence's big barnet. it was hot and then it rained today. i went to marple and sat on the grass and looked at powers' pink bike and thought about freshly cut grass and plane tickets.
